We are all too familiar with the holy grail Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation that has been residing in almost every makeup junkie's stash. Recently, Bourjois stepped up their game with the introduction of an improved formulation of their bestselling foundation. This all new Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Foundation is infused with a special blend of Vitamin C, E & B5. It is designed to be a makeup that loves your skin by providing skincare benefits whilst offering flawless coverage. I was kindly sent a set of press kit for review purposes and have been testing the range out for the past few weeks. My expectations for this reformulated range is definitely a bar higher after all the hype from its predecessor. A little heads up before we dive deep into the review, the shades that were sent to me were way too dark for my skin tone. Rest assured, your homegirl here still has all the swatches covered. Also, if you are curious, I did leave my house with both the darker foundation + concealer and still looked presentable. It is all about blending and of course, do not forget about your neck! ;) 1. anti-fatigue healthy mix foundation (30ml)PACKAGING: Clear glass bottle with a pump dispenser SHADE RANGE: Available in 6 shades SCENT: Light fruity, disappears after application COVERAGE: Medium, buildable Finish: Semi-Matte SKIN TYPES: Suitable for dry to combination skin. Oily skin should be accompanied with a mattifying primer or powder after application. PRICE: SGD$29.90 Right off the bat, you can see that the shades are a lot darker than my natural skin tone. However, I did notice that the foundation gravitates towards a more yellow base which is pretty suitable for most Asian skin tones. The lighter shades in the range are the only ones with a little more pink hues in it. You know the feeling whenever you apply a really good skincare on your face? This is how it feels like when you are using the Anti-Fatigue Healthy Mix Foundation. Lightweight but not watery, it blends seamlessly whilst providing a natural healthy glow to the face. The instant radiance must be the work of my all time favourite Vitamin C. The foundation is not cakey and I love how my skin is able to breathe through the foundation. Having oily skin and living in hot and humid Singapore, it is tough for ANY foundation to last throughout the day. Even though it promises a long lasting coverage of 16 hours, it only managed to stay perfect on my skin for a maximum of 6-8 hours before any creasing/rubbing off. As I am heading to someplace colder next week, I will continue to put this foundation to the test to see how long it can withstand under a cooler climate. Overall, I am loving this foundation so far and will be purchasing one in my shade to keep in my stash! 2. Anti- faTigue Healthy mix concealer (7.5ml)PACKAGING: Clear glass bottle with a doe foot applicator SHADE RANGE: Available in 3 shades (NC20-25 can go for Shade Light for the undereyes & Shade Medium for blemishes) SCENT: Light fruity, disappears after application COVERAGE: Medium SKIN TYPES: Suitable for normal to oily skin. PRICE: SGD$17.50 The reformulation brings along an Anti-Fatigue Healthy Mix Concealer that is suitable for your undereyes. Similarly, it also has the same vitamins blend to help brighten up the undereye area. The consistency is much more liquidy compared to the foundation and it feels a lot lighter on the skin too. Personally, I feel that this is the winner product out of the range. Even though the shade is a tad too dark for my undereyes, I used it to cover my blemishes and it worked wonders! It is unlike any full coverage cream concealers but it does help to cover the redness naturally, giving an illusion of a healthier skin. If you have acne problems like me, the idea is to not cover it up with so much makeup that it ends up clogging your pores. I curb with my existing acne issues by doing spot concealing to minimise the redness. This Anti-Fatigue Healthy Mix Concealer does an amazing job at it! That's about everything for the Anti-Fatigue Healthy Mix Range from Bourjois! Both the concealer & foundation has won my heart. Have you tried any of these yet? Would love to hear your thoughts about them. Oh, and before I forget, Bourjois is available at Watson's and departmental stores. Have a good one folks! ;)
xx Winter
