Hola guys! Back here today with a full roundup of It's Skin's newest Tiger Cica line that comprises of not only quality skincare, but also makeup that can help treat your skin issues. I am pretty sure the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the brand It's Skin is the iconic Prestige Creme D'escargot. Did you know that it was them who were the FIRST to introduce snail products in the market? Just like how we are all hooked to the amazing efficacy of products infused with snail mucin, we will be drawn into the newest Tiger Cica line that incorporates Tiger Herb (Centella Asiatica) that would help heal existing wounds on the skin.

Why The Name Tiger Cica?

Truth be told, I was equally perplexed when I first heard of the name Tiger Cica. The name was derived from the key ingredient in the range, Centella Asiatica, otherwise also known as Tiger Herb. Extensively used in medicine since the 17th century, Centella Asiatica has a long history of proven results to help heal wounds as well as promoting the regeneration of healthy tissues. Centella Asiatica is so effective that wounded tigers in the wild would actually roll on it due to its healing properties. As such, the herb is dubbed as Tiger Herb. Amazing isn't it? Even tigers are aware about the amazing healing properties of Centella Asiatica! If you are in for the long read, you can find out more about the benefits of Centella Asiatica here.

In the entire Tiger Cica range, there are two moisturisers, one blemish cushion as well as a tone up cushion. Another thing noteworthy is that all the products have a ZERO 10 formula, which basically means that they are free of 10 kinds of harmful ingredients which are commonly found in our beauty products. We will be exploring in depth about each product so without further ado, go grab a cuppa and make yourself comfortable!

01 Light Skin
Formulated with 27% Centella Asiatica Extract, the Tiger Cica Blemish Cushion was designed to provide coverage (acne sufferers, you have hope!) whilst soothing the skin. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy the cushion, been reaching out for it pretty frequently recently and I did not even realise it! Being an avid liquid foundation girl, I seldom gravitate towards cushions unless they are that good! Well, it is safe to say that this definitely made the cut for me although I have to admit, I was a little taken aback by the strong scent of all the products in this line. The amount of product in this cushion is reasonable for its affordable price point.

The only downside that I could nitpick on was the limited shade range which is very typical in most Korean cosmetics. There are only two shades, 01 for the fair skin, while 02 gravitates more towards the light-medium skin tones. I chose 01 Light Skin which turned out slightly fairer than my natural skin tone (I am pretty fair compared to the average) but with some bronzing up, everything melded seamlessly together.

Coverage wise, it is superb! With just a few taps, my scars and pigmentation were covered. What I love about the cushion is the airbrushed semi-matte finish that made my skin look flawless even when it is at a pretty bad condition right now. Unlike most liquid foundations, the great coverage of this cushion does not leave your skin looking lifeless. Instead, it actually brightens it up and makes it look much healthier that what it really is.

The longevity of the Tiger Cica Blemish Cushion is pretty commendable as well. It is definitely one of the more longer-wearing cushions I have tried so far. As you can see, even when my face is a total grease ball and my brows are half gone, the skin still looks pretty much alright and there is little to no caking/smudges. Apparently, this cushion has a fixing polymer which will help fix the cover particles to prevent smudges while prolonging is wear time. Not too sure about the specific schematics but the results do tally with the claims. :)

As I venture deeper into the depths of the beauty industry, I have realised the extreme importance of sun protection. Sure enough, It's Skin is familiar with it and therefore it is no wonder that the Tiger Cica Blemish Cushion comes with a great armour of sun protection. At SPF50+ PA++++, this cushion comes with a power-pack triple function that promotes wrinkle improvement & whitening whilst providing UV protection. I do spam a generous amount of sunscreen on a daily basis but am definitely not going to say no to additional protection! The key stop the skin from premature ageing is to prevent it!

Overall, I am pretty impressed by It's Skin Tiger Cica Blemish Cushion and will highly recommend this to people who are suffering from troubled skin. Do note that due to our hot and humid Singapore weather, you may wish to set the cushion with powder to increase its longevity and preventing it from sliding on the skin. It is a really great cushion for people who are suffering from mild to moderate acne and I wish I had this during my adolescent days.

TIGER CICA Tone-Up Cushion - SGD$39.90

Wearing It's Skin Tone Up Cushion
A Tone-Up Cushion? It is one of the growing trends in the Korean cosmetics industry. Simply put, this cushion is a multi-functional colourless cushion that helps to even out and brighten your skin tone whilst providing sun protection on the same hand. The Tone-Up Cushion contains 33% Centella Asiatica Extract and is a low irritant to the skin.

Notice that my face is a tad bit fairer and brighter compared to my neck? Well, that is because the Tone-Up Cushion contains Calamine Powder that is well known to help soothe skin problems like rashes and inflammation. The Calamine Powder not only helps to soothe the skin, it also gives an instant brightening effect on the complexion. For those of you who wants an instant fairer complexion, you may want to consider trying out this Tone-Up Cushion!

The Tone-Up Cushion is a physical sunscreen that protects the skin by reflecting the harmful UV rays away from the skin. With its strong protection of SPF50+ PA++++, you can rest assure that your skin is in safe hands. A major plus point for me is the simple, compact packaging that makes it so easy to throw into my purse especially when I am traveling!

Tiger Cica Gel Cream - SGD$43

Picture
Containing a whopping 68% Centella Asiatica Extract, the Tiger Cica Gel Cream is a dream for people with oily skin. It has a very lightweight soothing gel texture that feels really good especially in the Singapore climate. Again, it does smell a little herbal so for those who are sensitive towards product with scents, you may want to do a patch test or simply sniff it to see if it irritates you.

I enjoy applying this moisturiser on the daily basis as I have noticed that it helps my makeup to last longer. The Tiger Cica Gel Cream is a clinically proven optimal product for people with sensitive skin as it is gentle enough to relieve itchiness caused by dryness while soothing the skin. With the ZERO 10 Formula, your skin will thank you for switching up to something that loves your skin back in return.

The gel consistency is super lightweight and moisturising. When blended, it leaves a slight sheen that will dissipate in a few minutes. The best thing? No sticky residue!! I am really excited to see how my skin improves with continued usage of this Tiger Cica Gel Cream, I am hoping that it will minimize the formation of scars from my existing hormonal acne. Fingers crossed!

Tiger Cica Moisturising Balm - SGD$45

Among the two moisturisers, I was most intrigued by this as it was the only one that had a spatula. When they named it balm, they literally do mean it! This Tiger Cica Moisturising Balm feels like a solid balm in the tub therefore it requires a spatula to scoop the product out. The consistency is similar to Banila & Co's cleansing balm. I recommend warming the product in between your fingers before applying it onto your face. The product glides seamlessly onto the skin, leaving it silky smooth to the touch. It does have a slightly thicker feel on the skin compared to the former gel moisturiser but I am pretty sure that this will actually double up as a better agent to lock in all the moisture for people who have drier skin types.

Tiger Cica Moisture Balm - Comes With A Spatula
The Tiger Cica Moisture Balm is also another low irritant moisturiser so people with sensitive skin can actually use this too! With the same ZERO 10 formula, the Moisture Balm also contains macadamia nut oil to help lock in moisture & eucalyptus oil to purify the skin. Containing 55% Centella Asiatica, nearly half the tub is filled with this magical healing herb that will help improve your skin's condition.

Will definitely recommend this to people who are facing dry skin that needs intense hydration. Personally, I love using this at night as I sleep in an air conditioned room. To prevent my skin from being too dried out by the cold air, I apply a thin layer on my face every night. As such, I get to wake up to hydrated, balanced skin in the morning. Makeup seems to apply much easier after I have incorporated the Tiger Cica Moisture Balm into my night skincare regime.

Overall, I am really impressed by It's Skin Tiger Cica range! The use of Centella Asiatica in their product is definitely one of a kind and is so great for people who are facing skin troubles. The effects of the moisturisers are not life changing but you can definitely see a gradual improvement on the health of your skin. As for the cushions, the Blemish Cushion is now my favourite choice of cushion for the month. Just wore it up the plane and it is the first time whereby my makeup still looks flawless when we touch down. I knew I cannot let this gem go!
